School of Leadership

Rocky Mountain School of Ministry is a School of Leadership at heart, and while academics are offered and important, our primary goal is the developement of the whole person into a life long follower of Christ. All students at RMSM must participate in one of the two School of Leadership programs (full time or part time) to receive the large discount on all academic costs. As stated on the four emphases page, RMSM has four key focuses in our leadership training:

  1. Academics:  Students earn their degrees with a combination of online and in-person classes through RMSM. In addition, students earn credits through their apprenticeship program as they do ministry and build God’s kingdom. Student graduating from RMSM receive their accredited degree from Lee University and their certificate of ministry leadership training from RMSM.
  2. Adventure: One lost art of discipleship and growth is igniting a sense of wonder and adventure in the minds and hearts of men and women. God has created an amazing world that can invoke a sense of wonder and assist in creating a close-knit team of students. Students explore creation, help those in need (missions), learn in the outdoors, and grow closer to God through our adventure emphasis.
  3. Apologetics: Students are bombarded daily by a worldview contrary to the Bible, and students need to be prepared to defend their faith and fight for the souls of lost men and women. Students are grounded in a Biblical worldview and taught to share their faith through classes and education trips to iconic locations such as the Museum of the Bible and Ark Encounter.
  4. Apprenticeship: God has called every follower of Christ to be part of building His Kingdom and disciples, and RMSM students are taught to do this in a variety of ways. Students intern with ministry leaders at RMSM and learn how church and community ministries work. Students in their second semester begin their apprenticeship in a specific area, one that matches how God has designed, equipped, and gifted them, and they begin to build God’s Kingdom in college.
